Churched
I absolutely unequivocally loved reading "Churched: One Kid's Journey Toward God Despite a Holy Mess." Matthew Paul Turner has such a comedic flair to his writing which he uses to get his point across. It talks about how it was for him growing up in a very strict fundamental church. He portrays the innocence of a child very well. You will travel through the years along with Matthew and will see just what it was like to be him. This book will leave you smiling, if not out right laughing. I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review

Making the Best of a Bad Decision
The title of this book caught my attention. When you think about it, who hasn't made a bad decision in their lifetime? I am notorious for over thinking decisions I make. Some may argue that this is good, however, it can be quite exhausting and made more of an emotional experience than needed.
Erwin W. Lutzer writes in a very straightforward manner. He presents several areas in life that bad decisions can be made. It was quite interesting to see how he helps the reader to see that Christ can make the best of our bad decisions. It doesn't mean a life ruined forever. Some decisions can lead to a lifetime of heartache, but it doesn't mean that Jesus gives up on us.
I loved the statement he made "the most disastrous decision you can make is to neglect what Jesus offers us: eternal life both now and forever." How very true!
I highly recommend this book to anyone! Not just those who have made bad decisions, but each and every one of us.

I Am His
I Am His is advertised as "An 8-Week Bible Study for Today's Woman" and "Experiencing the Comfort of Abba's Love." I was hesitant as I began this study. However, after the first chapter, I was hooked. Rita J. Platt has such a tender way of pulling you close to her and helping you feel the love of our Redeemer. I appreciate her sincerity and humbleness that comes forth from the pages of her book. I believe that many women would choose to complete this study in less than 8 weeks. It is certainly very do-able. However, it is also perfect for very busy women who want to study the word, but struggle to find the time to do so. I am going to go through this study again to keep myself reminded of Abba's personal love for me.

Max On Life
As always, I was not disappointed in this book. Max Lucado has a way of writing that leaves me as the reader longing to read more. He has a knack of putting what could be considered complicated topics into very simple down to earth discussions. I felt that being able to read this book, I was able to try to grasp and glean from the wisdom that Max Lucado possesses. I would highly recommend this book to anyone! It is filled with wonderful, Bible-based advice and wisdom.

When Sparrows Fall
I finished this book within a 24 hour period. I could not put it down. I was able to relate to the main character Miranda Hanford in many ways. This book follows her journey of finding what true freedom in Christ really is. She encountered so many different emotions, but grew through them all. Jack, her brother-in-law of her late husband enters the lives of Miranda and her children and helps them to spread their wings and soar.
Ultra-conservative Christians would probably not enjoy this read. They may find it offensive to their sensibilities. I personally know so many people that would enjoy this book.

A Cowboy's Touch
I couldn't book this book down! "A Cowboy's Touch" by Denise Hunter is a must read. Abigail Jones has been ordered some down-time by her doctor. She goes to Montana to "visit" her great-Aunt Lucy. The visit was not just for some R&R, but for Abigail to also check on her Aunt Lucy.
Maddy, a 10 year old little girl, comes into Abigail's life very soon after Abigail's arrival in Montana. This little girl is so precious. She and Abigail form a special bond. Maddy's father has been through some very hard and painful times. Abigail breaks through his barriers and allows him to feel again.
"A Cowboy's Touch" is your typical Christian Romance book. It brought me enjoyment reading it. I read it within a 24 hour period.

Springtime of the Spirit
This turned out to be a book that I enjoyed very much. It started out slow for me and I was dreading that I had to read it, but once I got past a few chapters, I began to enjoy it more. I think women who are interested in History and Politics would greatly enjoy this story. Annaliese learns what it means to believe again. Just life in real life, she had to learn this the hard way. I enjoyed a book where it presented the man as a good solid God-believing figure. Often in sitcoms today, men are portrayed as stupid. I would definitely recommend this book to others. I was provided this book complimentary by Tyndale House Publisher's and have not been paid for this review.
